12, block VIII, Waikawa.— Granted, subject to assistant ranger's valuation. An application was received 1 for temporary lease of section 5, block XXII, Lknehills. — To be offered at auction, at £5 per annum for 14 years, under "Public Reserves Act, 18bl". — A similar course was decided on in leferenca k lease of section 6, block XXXII, Limeliills. On the recommendation of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, it waa resolved t< offer section 6, block XXXI, Ldmehills, at auction at £5 pei annum, burdened with £18 valuation fox improvements, for 14 years. A Parker offered £2 pei annum for lease of block 11, Otara township, for term of years or lease with right of purchase. — Government to be recommended to offer th, township as village land at £3 per acre in siich blocks as at present grouped. An application by Mr W. Inder, for Phoenix Diedging 00., Limited, to purchase section 2, block VI, Waikaka, was referred to the wardten foi report.
Tho Wallace County Council forwarded tracing of part section 39, block I, Apannia Hunred, required for quarrying purposes. — Balance of reserve to be offered u.t auction for term of 14 years, with right-of-way reserved to quarry ; ranger to fix uiaaet price. A surrender of sections 69 and 76, block 111, Seaward Bush township, was accepted, the sections not tc bt re-offered ir the meantime, as they are included in a coal lease. The ranger was instructed to tak< possession of rection 494, Hokonui, the land to be reottered on optional system. An application foi reduction of rent on Seaward Bust township sections was refused. Applications for land by G. H. Shirley, at Waikawa, and G. Taylor, at Glenham, were granted.
A transfer of section 23, block VI, New River Hurdied, from E. Buttoiph to F. Shenworfch, was approved.
Issue of titles were appioved to C. K. J. Clare, section 67, block V, Campbelltown Hundred; and Elsie Martin, section 12S, block I. iatcrson. . Two forfeitures were' rescinded.
