CHRISTCHURCH, Jaoiuarv 29.

The annual report of the Christchurch Meat Company shows that 1,388,245 head of stock were put through the works for the year, being a considerable increase over the previous year's. The financial position of the company has also improved. After making provision for various emergencies, the sum of £15,117 isput to the credit of the profit and loss, and the directors recommend an interim dividend of 4 per cent., making 8 per cent, for the year, carrying forward a balance of £5305.
