NAPIER WOOL SALES.

NAPIER, January 27. The second wool sale of the season was held to-day, when the aggregate offering was 6216J bales — a record offering at this centre. The attendance of buyers was also much bigger than usual. During the morning bidding was characterised by a briskness larely witnessed here, and lots sold well under tha hammer. There was a rise of a farthing to a halfpenny for all crossbred wool, and fine crossbreds advanced to the extent of a halfpenny and three farthings, while dingy and bush-stained were better by a farthing than at last sales. The following was the rangs of prices during the morning : — Coarse crossbreds — light condition 61d to 7id, finer sorts 7£d to 8&d, dingy s|d to 6id; halfbred, B£d; beflies and pieces, 4d to sd; bright condition, 5d to 6d; lambs, 63 to 7d ; locks, 2d to 3d.
