GORE STOCK SALES. (From Our Own Correspondent.) GORE. April 28.
At the Gore stock s»le« there were about 3000 sheep offered today, v/Hea there was only
a limited number of buyers present. Notwithstanding the small attendance most of the lota changed hands at very satisfactory prices, good wethers and breeding ewes being in strong demand. Fat ewes brought from 8s to 128 10d, a few up to 12s 10} d; fat ewes, £s ; fat wethers, up to 12s lOd; two-tooth store ewe 3 and wethers, 11s 6d to 12s 6d; four and &ix-tooth ewes, lls 2d for medium sorts; four, s:x, and eight-tooth ewes sold at from 10s to 12s ; aged ewes, from 2s 6d to ss. Of lambs only a few were forward, and poor sorts sold at from 4s 5d to 7s £d. Of fat cattle about 40 head were yarded. Fat bullocks brought up to £6 lOi ; fat cows nnd heifers. £5 to £ 6 ss; yearling steers and heifers sold at from £2 10s to £3.
