ANGLOPHOBIA IN OERMANY. The following extract from a letter written by a lady resident of Dunediu from Garmisch. Bavarian Alps, on the 16th January, Trill be read w ith interest : — " I am sorry to see the bad feeling between England and Germany, which seem* to be a misapprehension on both sides, although I think this time that England has been much provoked. DiTectly the Germans thought Chamberlain had insulted their army they rose in a mass oil over Germany to protest agaiiiet it. We have been following everything with groat interest in the German papers, to which every incident in England is telegraphed at once. You will bo burpmed at my knowing and understanding mi much about it, but we ha\e read the German papers ever pince the beginning of the war, ancl followed it^ all, and after living thres years in Germany understand something of the character of the 'people. They are honest and straight forward, and < ould nevei invent all these lies nor listen to thorn at all if they thought they vvero i ntrue.
