BRITISH BIOGRAPH.

It speaks well for the excellence of the entertainment provided by the British Biograph Company at the Garrison Hall that notwithstanding the counter attractions the attendance at last Monday's exhibition was the largest during ths ggsjigg. A. peculiar interest j£ fa

tached to the wonderful reproductions of the Biograph, inasmuch as the onlooker is enabled to get a better idea of characteristic scenes in other lands by looking at these pictures than any amount of book study is likely to afford him. In short, the educative value of the Biograph is one of its principal features. A capital series of pictures was submitted for the delectation of last evening's audience, and judging by the hearty manner in which they were received they were thoroughly appreciated. The principal feature of the programme was a set of views from the " San Toy " opera, which met with such success at Home. They were a capital lot of pictures, and were presented with the utmost clearness. They represented the following scenes in the piece — " Lady's Maid," " Cigar Scene," " Umbrella Dance," " London," " A Little Bit of Fun," " Yen How and His Six Little Wives," and " Tommy Atkins." Chief amongst the other pictures were Paris Exposition views — viz., " Champ de Mars Station," " River Seine," " French Colonial Buildings," " Fountains of the Trocadero," Buildings of Russia, Siberia, China, Japan, Horticultural and Fine Art Buildings.
