(From Our Own Correspondent.) CLYDE, August* 81. •A new screen .has been delivered for the Unity dredge. Repaiis will be undertaken immediately. Complaints are made about the iinpassablestate of the road at Chatto Creek. The boiler for the Boundary Creek dredge is io be carted direct from Dunedin, via Palinerston. The caulking of the Monte Christo pontoons is about completed. September 3. 'The pipe line is now completed to the .t-ite di ihe intended power house where electricity tor the Earnscleugh No. 3 Dredging Company is to be generated. - The level of the Molyneux has remained unahered during the past week. The Boundary Creek pontoons are comi^leted. I"he Monte Christo pontoons niay be launched during the latter part of the week. •The Kelly and Casey pontoons are being planked. A case in which one dredging company seeks to recover damages from another dredging company for alleged encroachment upon a claim is to be- heard before Warden Burgess next court day. The claim for damages tots up to thousands. Necessary small repairs are being executed Dn board the Vincent dredge as work proceeds each week.The' Unity dredge inr.y soon cease operations Vo>allow the new screen to be fitted up.
