THE LABOUR MARKET.
Messrs Skene and Son report under date September 4':— lt is folly to ask men to wade through the slush and wet we are having. Pine ■working sunshine is anxiously prayed for. But, wet or dry, the demand keeps lively for station, iarm, and dairy people ; trappers, and poisoners are still moving. In town the building trade is growling about broken time ; men under cover are all right. However, we must take the seasons as they come round, and there is the satisfaction of knowing that the prospects are excellent all lound, and wages liberal for steady woikers.
