DEVILLED EGGS,
Boil five eggs till hard, and pkee in cold water. Peel of! the shells, and cut each egg into two, removing the yolks, which should be placed in a basin and rubbed till smooth. Ada bea^ salad oil to the yolks of eggs, with sail, cayenne pepper, and made mustard to taste, then fill the whites v/ith the mixture. Have croutons of fried bread ready, place half an eg?
on each, make all hot, and serve with a garnish of watercress.
