Owners are not taking kindly to the announcement that ii;e Tahima Park Trotting Club is not going to have a race meeting before Januaiy. Here are dozens of horses about, almost idle, ;>.nd owners aie not keeping them altogether to look at. Strong representations od this point have been made to President Myers and the club's committee generally, and a ii'co:';ig is to be held on Thursday evening to consider the desirability of revoking the determination previously arrived at and hoi] a race meeting in October, about the same date as last season. That the proposal will bo carried I cannot; vouch for, so don't blame me if something goes wrong with thp works. But I have a tip that it will be carried, and my advice to owners is to push along their training with all convenient speed. ..
