ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. March 21.

The entries at Addingion comprised 5000 fat sheep, 2000 fat lambs, 9000 store sheep, S'il cattle, and 373 pigs.

Fat Cattle.— 2o9 penned, mostly lj>a!>vreigh J : steers and heifer*, and a dragging saJo rebuked in a drop ot from 10s to 12s per head, the prices being: Prime beff, 16s to IBs per 3 001b, and others down to 12s Gd. Per head, prime bullocks ruled at fiom £~i 10s to £3 los, oidiuary steers, £5 12s Gd to £7 ; he fers, £ i 12s 6J to dS6 7s Gd; cows, £3 10s to £5 15s. Theie was no demand for stsre cattle.

Fat Sheep. — These weio mostly good freezers, with a large proportion ot prime butchers' ewes. There was only a fair demand for freezers, owing to the scarcity of frozen mutton freights. Butchers' sorts were m over-supply, and a drop of from Is to Is Gd psr head resulted, while many were withdrawn, jfixtra heavy wethers sold at up to 17s 9d_; prime freezers, 16s to 17s Id; medium Forts, 14s 6d to 15s 9d , unfinished ■« ethers, down to 12s 3d; prime ewes, 12s 6d to 13s Gd; medium sorts, 10s to ils Gd ; and aged, down to 8s 3d.

Fat Lambs. — The quality eff the fat lambs was not so good, but freezers met with a fair sale at lls 6d to 14s ; while inferior sold down to 10s 3d.

Store Sheep. — These were a very mixed lot, and there was a poor demand, owing to the scarcity of feed from the contained dry weather, and a good many were passed in. A line of 800 wethers from the north brought 9s fd, and other Canterbuiv lots sold at 10s Id, 12s Id, 12s 3d, to 13s lOd. For very forward good young ewes lls id, 11s lOd, 12s, to 13s lOd was realised, and io: loiward lambs Ss 6d to 10s 2d, while others, sold at from 6s Id to 8s lOd.
