LONDON, March 19,

!A Boer commandant's note book, found ■when C4eneral Buller crossed the Tugela, indicated that there had been 1494 casualties among the Boers in Natal between December 12 and January 24.

Mr Winston Churchill states that there are 14,000 Boers, with 20 guns, at Biggarsberg.

Trains' now cross the Tugela River by Dolenso bridge.

General Buller is getting together supplies preparatory to -continuing his advance.
