THE SHOOTING- SEASON.
. WELLINGTON, March 16. The shooting season is fixed for the Lake district ioi\ native, game from 31st March to 30th June ; for- Southland and Otago districts (excepting certain areas described in the Gazette), imported game from Ist May to 31st July, and -for native game from the 31st March to- 30th- June ; ■ Waitaki and Waimate districts,' imported 'game from Ist May to 31st July, and native game from 31st March" to 30th June.
Regulations, fqr deer-shooting in Otago ai'B gazetted. -Fallow deer bucks only maybe taken from the 15lh March to the 30th April, and red deer (stags only) from the Ist April to the 31st' May.
