JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP.
Carisbrook D defeated High School at Carisbrcok by 126 runs. The former made 175, J. Coluiab compiling, 7". _by S.ne free bitting. W. Munro (54) and \Y. Maitl^nd (14) al«o reachad double figures. High School were all disposed oi for 49, Bayley (10) being the only baisman to reach double figures. Campbell and Ifarqukar&on boy/led best for the school, as did Harraway and Maitland for Carisbrook.
The match Henley No. 1 v. Opolio w?s played on tlie North ground, and resulted in an easy win for Henley by 109 luns. Both tae-;e taaiiir, had only been beaten once previously tliis sea&on, and Saturday's game leaves the Henley team leading for the President's Cup. Opoho. going in first, could only make 23 runs, Johnptone (10) being the only player to reach, double figures. Hecdley put together 132 runj before being disposed of, Collie (41), A. Thompson (22), Y. llowlatt (21), and L. C-imeron (]o) being the principal soorers. For the Opobo tear.i M'Arthur was the besii of the bowlers, <md Restieaiix (six for 15) and "Wallace ('our for 6) bowled very well for Rfvidley.
The match Hendley No. 2 v. Carllon A was played on the Oval, and resulted in a win for Hendley by 21 rims on the first innings. Hendley, batting fii'ct, put together 55 runs, S. Torrance (23) and T. Bill (ID reaching double figuvr?. Rtew i>"'"t secured most wickcis for Cailton. The latter could only make Si runs against the bowliiig of N. M'i''arlane ('Ax for 13) and J. Corni-jh (two for 5), A. M 'Arthur being the only Laisman to reach double figures. In the fscoik! inningb Hendley had put together 83 runs for six wickets when time was called, J. Cornish (26), .7. Reid (21, not cut), E. Torrance (121, and J. Torrance (10, not o.ut) batting well.
