THE PHILIPPINES.
STARVATION AND DISASTER.
SYDNEY, March 12.
News from the East states that the inhabitants of Mindoro and Marinduque, in the Philippines, are starving. Bands of robbers plunder the towns, and many Spaniards and Filipinos have been treacherously murdered. Senor Miguel Olivera, a wealthy merchant, was buried alive, and his son murdered over his grave.
