THE REMOUNTS. CHRISTCHURCH, February 21.

Yesterday afternoon the Government arranged with the agents of the steamer Undaunted for the number of horses to be carried by that vessel to South Africa to be increased to 100. Good progress is being made Avith the work of fitting up the stalls. It is expected the vessel will sail about Monday nest. February 22. It is understood that the steamer Undaunted will take 110 horses from Lyttelton for South Africa. February 24-. The Undaunted has now been fitted with accommodation on deck for 100 horses. Mr Daniel started work on Tuesday, and finished at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Up to the present 74 horses are picketed at Sticking Point, awaiting the arrival of the balance of 100. Fifteen men have been selected by Colonel Penton to go with the horses to South Africa.
