WOOL VALUES.

I The past week has shown no very great de- , parture from the recent trend of wool-trade I matters, and the trade doing continues to be* on lines similar to those recently outlined in ! this report. During the week we have had ! one more example in the concrete of the unI profitable trade of yarn spinning, a firm of ! spinners having called their creditors together. Still, for all that, there continues to be a demand for all classes of wools fully up to the scale of recent weeks, the belief also being general that let the coming holiday season get over and more will be doing. Combers continue to be busy, and there are other evidences of improvement on the past month's trade. Merinos still lead, stocks being only light and no groat quantity offering. Crossbreds keep very lifeless, while mohair remains steady. The following table shows the full course of prices during the past month, and the figures given represent the general asking prices of to-day: —
