THE PREMIER AND MR GEORGE HUTCHISON.
The Hon. J. M'Kenzie gave notice to-day of his intention to move that a select committee be appointed to ascertain whether all or any of the allegations reflecting personally on the Right Hon. K. J. Seddon, or his relative (the late Nathaniel Seddon), made by Mr Hutchison, member for Patea, in his speech in the House on Tuesday, the 23rd ult., are, m substance, true or false, and to leport their opinion thereon; with power to call for persons and papers ; tho committee to report within .14 days. The committee to consist of Messrs Morrison, Sligo, Graham, and the mover. I am told that when tho motion comes up for discussion in the House Mr Hutchison intends to move an amendment to the effect that tho " Bun Tuck " incident and other personal matters be included in the order of reference.
