OBITUARY.
I Mr William Brebner, senior check clerk m ! the Bunedin telegraph office, died on the . morning of the 13th from a sharp ■ attack of pneumonia. He became ill , about a fortnight ago,, and was. com- [ ; pelled to lay up, but was apparently im- » > proving until Saturday, when he had a rej l?pse. Mr Brebner joined the civil service- • > about 25 years ago, and has been over 20 years. : .in the Dunedin office. He was much esteemed : iby all who knew him. He was 41 years of ■ ( age, was twice married, and leaves a widow and five children. The deceased gentleman was a son of Mr and Mrs T. Brebner, whoarrived in the John Wickliffe. Mrs Ronaldson, wife of the Rev. W. Ronald- , son, Grand Secretary of the New Zealand Masonic Constitution, died on Mond?v morning, 12th, at her residence, Linwood, near Christchurch. The deceased lady was subject toheart disease, and her death was very sudden, occurring while her husband was away at ' Kaiapoi. Her remains will be interred in Dnnedin. j A cable message from Sydney announces the ' death of M. Horace Poussard, a well-known violinest. M. Poussard visited Dunedin in the- ■ days of the goldfields excitement in company with M. Douay, violoncello player. He paid a second visit to the colony in 1890 with the Madam Burton Company. I The National Mortgage and Agency Company have received intimation by cable that Mr J. W. Temple, the managing director of Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company, died on the 12th inst.. at London.
