AFTERNOON TEA SCONES.

Take 2lb self-raising flour, add to it a little salt and two tablespoonfuls of sugar. Mix well ; nib into it a small piece of butter. Beat up three eggs, add sufficient Bweet milk to make the flour into a nice light dough. Mix well, pouring the milk and eggs into the centre of the flour. When mixed, turn the dough on to a floured baking board; cut off with a knife small pieces of dough, flour well, and make with the hand into a flattened ball, smoothing the top well. Bake in a moderate oven.
