The A.yon is unusually well stocked with trout this year, and large numbers may be seen on any day between Cowlishaw's corner and the boatsheds. What is apparently a white fungus growth is, however, observable, says the Lyttelton Times, on many of the fish. The hybrids at the Acclimatisation Gardens between Lochleven and Brook, and Rainbow and Brook, look very healthy, and show a small percentage of deaths. The Otago Acclimatisation Society this week publish the list of agents from whom licenses are obtainable throughout the district.
