Nominations for all Handicaps close on MONDAY, 10th October, at 8 o'clock p.m. Weights for first day will appear on or about 17th OCTOBER. Acceptances for first day to close on MONDAY, 24th October, at 8 o'clock p.m. Entries for Trial Stakes to close on MONDAY, 24th October. Weights for second day will be declared at 8.30 p.m., NOVEMBER 9th ; acceptances at 10 p.m. same evening. Rules and Regulations. SPECIAL NOTICE To Owners, Trainers, and others entering and accepting horses for W.J.C. Race Meeting: That no entries or acceptances will be received unless accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, or special arrangements made with the executive. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the secretary, with entrance money enclosed, including name of horse, age, pedigree, colours of rider, and name of owner. Races to be run under the New Zealand Rules of Racing. Trotting races to be run under the Rules of the South Island Trotting Association. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of stakes. Any horse winning a handicap on the flat or over hurdles of 30sovs or over after the declaration of weights for first day to carry a penalty of 51b extra. . . All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a Protest Committee appointed by the club, whose decision sha.ll be final, and shall not be questioned in any Court of Law. Entries received only under these conditions. Protests must bo accompanied by the sum of £2, to be forfeited if the protest is not sustained. Games of chance strictly prohibited on the coarse.
