DTJNLOP.— On the 13th September, 1898, at his parents' residence, Lovell's Flat, Robert, son of Archibald Dunlop ; aged 19 yeara. ; FRY.— On the 17th August, off Burnett Heads, : Queensland, Captain Thomas Angel Fry I (barque Woosung), beloved husband of Helen Fry, and highly-esteemed son-in-law of Mr and Mrs Chefcham, Cavershaon ; aged 42 years. G-RANT.— On the Bth September, at his residence, Milton, Otago (suddenly), Alexander Grant, wool classer (formerly of Inverness), eldest son of Andrew Grant, Elgin, Scotland; aged 46 yeara. LYE. — On the 16fch September (accidentally killed on the railway), Leslie, the dearly loved son of Josiah and Mary Lye; aged 4 years and 3 months. j MACKERRAS.—On the 14th September, at ! Rosemount, Helen Murray, eldest daughter of James and Helen Mackerras. REID. — On the 17th September, at her residence, Clarendon street, after a short illness, Mary Reid; aged 67 years. Deeply regretted. ROWE.— On the 20th September, at her residence, Greenhill, Anderson's Bay, Margaret, ; the beloved wife of George Rowe; aged 41 years. Deeply regretted. SHANKS.— On the 16th September, at her residence, Mataura, after a long illness, Eleanor Ann, relict of the late James Stuart Shanks; aged 85 years. WILSON.— On the 19th September, at his residence, Arthur street, William Hall, second son of the late David M. Wilson, and beloved husband of Susan Wilson; in his twentyseventh year. Deeply regretted. WRATTEN.— On the 15th September, at the Dunedin Hospital, Beatrice Caroline, eldest daughter of D. and S. Wratten, of Owaka; aged 14 years.
