(Before Mr Warden Carew.) Mr \v". C. MacGregor applied ou h«balf of Alex, Barron for a licensed holding for 21 years of 30 acres at Barewood in blocks VII and XI, Nenthorn. It was proposed to invest jGIOOO on the holding in sinking and driving —There was no objection to the application, which was adjourned for three months pending survey. Alex. M'Donald applied for a licensed holding for 21 year* of 3J acres in block XI, Nenthorn. It was proposed to expeud £1000 in working a quartz reef on the holding by sinking and driving.— Mr MacGregor appeared in support of the application, to which there was no objection, bus it was adjourned for three months pending survey. Thomas M'Kay applied for a licensed holding for 21 years of 30 acres in block VII, Nenthorn district. It was proposed to spend £1000 in sinking and driving on the holding. — Mr MacGregor appeared in support of the application, which wa3 adjourned for three months pending survey. P. A. Lyderg applied, on behalf of himself, A. F. VV". Lorie, and John Isaacs, for a protection certificate for six months in re»pect of their claim -seotion 4, block XII, Nenthorn,— in order that they might have time to reconstruct the company so as to provide additional capital to work the claim more fully and erect machinery. — The application was granted. Mr W. 0. MacGregor applied on behalf of James M'Hattiefor a licensed holding for 21 years in respect of 30 acres in block VII, $euthorn district.—There was no objection to the application, which was adjourned for three months pending Burvey. William Allan (for whom Mr W. C. The Barewood Quartz Mining Company applied Tor a special claim of ICO acres on the unsurveyed land opposite sections 9 and 10, block XI, Nenthorn, and sections 2, 3, and 4, block VII.-Non-thorn.
