February 8. It was stated at the Masterton Racing Club's meeting last week that several young ladies attempted to gain admitsion with jockeys' tickets. Mr B. S. Grant has altered the name of his hoiee Coshbox to Greenstone. Johu Cuneen was refused a trainer* license by the Hawke's Buy Jockey Club last week. The Masterton Racing Club will place backward owners on the forfeit list unless they pay up. Mr Shoves's Baotles and Conscript, v,*;llkDOvrn coastal horses, are booked for Australia. Ttd Williams will accompany them. At the Waitara races last week Flying Fish won the Wtitara Cup, paying £1 13s. A pecu- I liar thing occurred in the hurdles.
