With regard to fcbe passage in tbe liquidators' report respecting (ho surrender of Mrs Barron's guarantees on the authority of the president of the Bank of New Zealand, Mr Watson said he had heard from Mr Ward that an arrangement had been made whereby he sold certain shares and was to draw from the proceeds t her oof £24,000. Mr Watson sat in his office attending to his business the manager of the Colonial Bank came to him laying he had received a bill ou the above condition, and asked him if he knew anything about it.
