Esgs, Is Hd (scarce). Butter, 7d to 7Jd. Pigs. 3d to 3idPouLTttY.— The following prices ruled at last week's sale :— Young cocks, Ss[to 3s 3d ; small, 2s to 2s 6d ; hens and old cocks, 2s to 2s ~sd. Ducks, 33 to 4s. Geese, 4s 3d. Hen, turkeys, 4d per lb ; cock turkeys, 6d per lb. ' Fruit —Arrivals during the week bave slackened off a little. The following prices' were realised :— Apples, 5s 3d to 63 6d ; pears, 3s 9d to 6s for inferior to medium, and 10s to 10 » 'id fojj prime ; tomatoes, 3a 6d to 5s 3d ; peacbes, 4id ; pickling onions, 6s 9d. Business continues much about- the same.
Drapery and clothing are in fair demind. . We beg to call attention to the large stock of woollens we have just puichased, full particulars of which will be found in this week's Witnesa The alterations to our furniture showroom are now complete, and we cordially invite inspection of same.
