The Brunnof relief _fucd in Nspier has, so far, reached £620. The subscription of Messrs Bing, Harris, and Co., £50, was sent direct to tire Central Committee at Brunnerton. A Napier telegram says : — ."Notwithstanding that rain fell early in the morning and that the rest of the day was bitterly cold there was an enormous attendance at the Brunnerton Demonstration Snorts meeting. There was a procession about half a mile long with many tableaux. The chief open- event was a two-mile bicycle race, won by Cattanach (Waaganui). The amateur foot races (200 and 300 yards) fWere both won by Holder (Wanganui) from scratch with consummate ease The rest of the programme was of a local character. The proceeds will, amount to' about £130, making . the Napier list to date about £900. A ball WAS held in the evening in aid of the fund." The Premier has' received a donation of £10 10s from the Stock Exchange, Perth, for the \ sufferers by the Bruoner disaster. The sum of £6 6s 6d was collected by Mr Sam Chew Lain at the Chinese Camp, and ■ handed over to the chairman of the Tuspeka Count; Council. '

An Auckland-telegram abates that the -amount in the hand* of the mayor for the Brunne'ton relief fund is over £1160.A Pal merlon North telegram says •-— " The Brunner relief fund now amounts to £384 12s, including £68 17s collected by the Man»w*tu Daily Times. There are still some small lists oat, which are expected to bring the total up to . £400. The lists are now closed." A Melbourne cable states that the Mayor of Melbourne's Brunnerton relief fund has now reached £600.. A Christchurch telegram states that the - amount now in the handa of the Christchurch treasurer of the Brunner relief fund is £4634. The amount in hand at Lyttelton is £303. The Nftlson Brunner relief fond now stands at £893.
