WARDEN'S COURT.
Friday, May 1. (Before Mr Wardeu Carew.) A sitting of the Warden's Court was held in the Lind Board's office yesterday, before Mr B. H. Caraw (district 'warden), when applications were dealt with as follows :— * John Petereou (for whom Mr J. Mouat appeared) applied for a special claim of 109 acres at Deep Stream.— Adjourn-H till the sth of next month. The Barewood Quartz Mining Company (for whom Mr D. Reid, juu., appeared), applied for a water race four miles along the southern bank 1 of the Deep Stream. — No objection ; granted for 15 yeara. Peter Andrew Lyders and others (represented . by Mr Sim) applied for a water race' on the T^ieri river, M'Phees Point —No objection ; granted for 15 years. , John Peterson applied for a water race six miles long at Deep Stream —Mr Mouat appeared* fo> the applicant, and Mr Flemiug for Mr A Boyd.—Granted for 15 years, subject to the condition that the applicant construct* and keeps in repair two crossings, in every mile of the race suitable for the traffic of stock, such crossings to be erect d at a position to be agreed, upon by the surveyor and the occupant of the adjoining land (Mr A BoyU). -■ Peter Andrew-Lyders and others (for whom Mr Mm appeared) applied for five acres as a battery Bite near the confluence of the Taieri river and Dtiep 'stream.— No objection ; granted. The same parties applied for a water race on Deep stream, and for five acres as a battery site at M'Phee's Point, 400 yards above the ford. — Both applications were granted. Ihotuas Begg applied for a water race two miles long on the Deep stream, Mount Hyde.— No .objection; granted, for 15 yeara. Two siniiUr applications by the same person were granted for 15 years." Herbert Price (for whom Mr D. Reid, jun., .appeared) applied for a licensed holding over section 4, block VI, and section 7. block VII, Neuthorn. — Granted. Robert >Cockerell applied for a prospecting dredging area of 40 chains, Deep stream, below Dunatan road crossing.— Granted.
