Gordon, with a representative of the syndicate Mr Gordon has recently joined, vitited the district in his double oaparity, inspecting tha Macetown mines and the Achilles Qoldfields at Skippers, the Crystal, the Leviathan, and the Gallant Tipperary, sear Skipper's Point. At Macetown things »tc quiet. The Gleurock Company is still driviug away in the search for stone that so far Jbas «luded all prospecting attempts to catch it. The Tipperary Company are putting out stone in goodly quantity, ana though it is of a low grade it is.expeoted tha*qiiantity will make up for small returns.
