A GENERAL DECLINE. London, April 28. The wool sales opened to-day with a general decline of 5 per cent. 6 „ . April 29. At the wool sales, 11,160 bales of medium selected were offered. There was a full attendance. Virtually no American buyers were present. The decline is most acute with raediunr merinos, which are receiving entire foreign support. Messrs Dalgety and Co. have received the following cablegrams from their head office ;— Dated London, April 28 1 " Wool sales opened with indifferent seltotion. Large attendance of buyers, and competition. was fairly animated. Prices are at par to 6 per cent lower than closing rates of last series."
