At a 'special meeting of the stewards of tha Hawke's Bay Metropolitan Trotting Club evidence was adduced that the brown mare trotted in the Mnulen Saddle at Hastings on March 9 un^er the name Clive was tho nma < Fioti'i. As a repult the stewards uuaaiifou-ly resolved tta&fc Amos Clegg, the nominator and rider of the mare, be disqualified for life, and that a copy Aof the evidence and resolution be sent bo lCAegg and the various trotting clubs throu^Lif , the colony.
