This superb variety has fairly established its reputation in England as one of the Finest and Most Profitable Gooseberries in existence. The fruit is of enormous size, and, when ripe, of a dark, dusky red colour; it is of fine quality, and cannot be surpassed for preserving. The plant is of robust growth, and is marvellously prolific.
