STRATH TAIERI.

May 4. — The annual meeting of householders in Strath Taieri was held on the appointed date. Mr W. Hay wa> called to the chair, and after explaining the object of the meeting called for the annual report. Inter alia it showed th* work done by the committee during the year, the average attendance at school, and the result of tbe inspector's examination. The report was unanimously adopted, as was also the balance sheet, which, showing a crrdit balance of £18 4" 3d, was considpr«"d very satisfactory. A hearty vote of thanks and appreciation was pa-sed to the teachers for the good results shown at the inspector's examination. Tbe eleotion of a new committee resulted in Mrssrs M' Donald, Atkinson, Mason, Hill, P»lmer, Robertson, and M'Lintnck being declared duly elected. At an af'er meeting Mr F. Atkinson wa« appointed chairman, Mr G. M'Donald treasurer, and Mr W.D. Mason secretary.
