The Kaitangata were kepb defending for some time, but their opponents kicked reckUssly, and lacked combination* and before the end of the spell the visitors not only repulsed their opponents, but adding two more goals to their own credit, the match resulting : Kftitangatft ... 3 goals Queen's Park M Nil HANGERS V. MOHNIKQTOK. The Rangers First played and defeated Mornington on the Exhibition site. Though the ground waa in a greasy state, tho play was exceedingly interesting and fast. The Morningtoot forwards are a fast lot and gave ths opposing backs a deal of trouble. Shortly after the start a well-judged passiDg rush of the Rangers forwards put their side in the lead by j a goal. Mornington then came away and it seemed as if they muet score, but the good defence of Aehton and A North kept the danger away. The RaDgers then had a look in, bat Burrows, the opposing goalkeepf r, wai equal to several strong shot*. Not to be denied, the Blacks kept tbi-ir opponents on the defence until a free kick was given to the Rangers in front of Morcington'e goal and from a ptss j from M'Lachlaa to Sligo the latter increased j the Rangers' score. From this out till call of half-time the game was a series of pafsing j rushes, Payne, Sparrow, and Thomas backing up their forwards so well that the pUy wai i even. On resuming, Moruingfcon at once assumed the aggressive, Kobei's safe goalkeeping being responsible on several occasions for preventing certain scores. Aided by the well-judged kicking of M Lachlnu, J. North increased the Rangers' score to 4 goals. Mornington was far from beiDg dbheartened, end G*rside, Holgate, and KiDgston made strenuous efforts to score but were unsuccessful. Scores : Rangers ... 4 goals Mornington ... NU BOSLYN V. ZEALANDIA. These teams met on the former's ground in the presence of a good nuniber of spectators. Tbe ground -was alittle greasy, but a very K°°d exhibition of the game was given. The Roslyn played with good combination, the half j backa especially plaj ing a good game. Goals were scored for the home team by J. Preutice (2), Bunting (2), Watson, and Hayward, and the Zealandia failing to score the match ended : Roslyn 6 goals Zexlandia Nil QUEEN'S TATIK SECOND V. KAITANGATA SECOND.
