Wellington, June 21. This afternoon Andrew and Joseph Kennedy Joseph Jewett, and Robert- Gawn were charged with the murder of Louie Smith. Dr Ewart, of the hospital, cohsiderect that the wounds sustaimd by Smith would not in a ht-althy person necessarilj have caused death, but they might have done so There wi»s no opium given her in the ho3pital, but m -rphia was injected twice. Br*iidy was also administered. Margueritft Cora Oategan, a uw.s-i at the hospital, said that Smith told her that her wounds were the re'ult of a pure accident Tbe patient had a craving for opium. Andrew Kennedy and Joseph Jewett were committed for rrial on a charge of murder, Joseph Kennedy and Robert Gawn being discharged from custody.
