NOTES BY JACK.

Arrangements are being made by the New ■Zealand Bowling Association to send a team of bowlers on a tour of the country districts. It |s probable that five rinks will be sent, leaving town on Monday, sth February, and playing matches at Milton, Lawrence, Kaitangata, and Invercargill.

At a committee meeting of the New South Wales Bowling Association, held in: Sydney on January 5, a letter was read from thve secretary of the Victorian Bowling Association stating that five members of the association intended to pay New Zealand a visit, and asking if any members of the New South Wales Association would join, so as to make up at least three rinks. The matter was left over for inquiries amaugst the members.

The Balclutha Bowling Club paid a. visit to Kaitangata on Thursday, playing the club there during the afternoon. Play was very close, as evidenced by the scores — Kaitangata s*, Balclutha 53. Afternoon tea was provided on the green by the Misses Corson, and tho visiting team were excellently treated by their opponents.
