JUNIOR CUP MATCHES.

The match between the Albion Second and Ravensbourne was commenced on Saturday at the North ground. The Albion batting first put together 85, Duncan knocking the bowling about to the tune of 41. Matthews contributed 11 and Gibson 12. ' Ravensbourne then went in to face the bowling of Hutchinson and Duncan, bub only managed to score 39— the underhand bowler keeping down the runs, while his v is a-vis knocked over the wickets. In the second innings the Albion took things rather too coolly, with the result that King and Larnach disposed of them for 49 runs, E. Bray (22, not out) and Gibson (11) being the only batsmen to reach double figures. With a few minutes left to play, Ravensbourne again went to the wickets, and at the call of time had lost three wickets for 6 runs.

The match Oceana v. Opoho Second was commenced at Opoho on Saturday. The Oceana, going in first, totalled 67, D. Smyth carrying out his bat for 38. The Opoho were all disposed of for 65, Thompson making 16, Wilson 12, and Hendry 10. With 20 minutes to play, the Oceana men took the wickets, and have lost one wicket for 7 runs. For the O<:eana G. Smyth secured five wickets for 26 and Richardson two for 16.

The Carisbrook D and Breweries match was commenced on the North ground on Saturday. Carisbrook, going first to the wickets, totalled 84— Smith (14), J. Kingston (13), Thomson (13), and Sale (11) reaching double figures. The Breweries replied with 22, Austin capturing two wftkets for 3 runs, and Neale six for 16. For the Breweries, A. Keasb and M'Gavin shared the bowling honours, while mention must be made of Sutherland's excellent fielding at point. The Carisbrook in their second innings have lost one wicket for 38 runs. The match Grange Second v. Dunedin Second was won by the Grange by nine wickets.
