A Bad Look Out for John.
A principal in one of the big cheap schools has been sending round circulars to the parents of his pupils, which, signed &ud returned, will authorise him to "inflict such punishment, corporally and otherwise," as may in his judgment be proper. The following answer proves that some of the parents are quite pleased with tho idea : — "Dear Mr Rattan— Your flogin cirklar is duly receaved. I hopes as to moy sun John, you will flog him just as often es you kin. "Hea's a bad boy is John. Although I've bean in the abbit of teatching him miself, it seems to me he will nevair lam anithing — his speling is spesially otragusly deficient. Wallup him well, sur, and you will receave my harfcy thanks.— Yours truly, Mosas Spanker."
