SHOOTING COMPETITIONS.
Eighteen members of B Battery, N.Z.R.A.V., put in an appearance at Pelictet Bay range yesterday morning to compete in the first of a series of four handicap matches for a trophy presented by Messrs G. and T. Young. The morning was dull, with a tendency to rain, and the light at the first range was rather changeable, but improved as the time wore on, a corresponding improvement being noticeable in the shooting. Subjoined are the scores of those competitors who made 60 points or over :—: —
The Dunedin Cifcy Guards fired a Cup match at Wakari on Saturday. The afternoon was very wet and squally, which was against good shooting. The conditions were seven shots at 300, 500, and 600 yards. The following are the highest scores : —
The Guards journey to Christchurch on the 30th inst. to fire a match against the Christchurch Guards.
