THE ADDINGTON MARKET.
The Lyttelton Times reports t— Fat Sheep : The entry was limited in extent, and was very mixed in respect of quality, the bulk consisting of merino wethers, a good many cf which were of very second-rate quality. A good demand existed for properly finished merino wethers, which realised from 13s to 15s 6d, but several lines of inferior quality sold at from 8s 6d to 11s. and a number were withdrawn. The sale was limited Va extent as regarded crossbred wethers and maiden, ewes for export, but anything of special quality were appropriated by buyers for export at little or no difference from recent quotations ; wethers selling at from 18s to 22s 6d, and lines of wethers and maiden ewes at from 17s to 20s 9d. There were only a few crossbred ewes offered, and they realised from 15s 3d to 17s, and one or two pens of prime quality sold at a trifle above this.
