Orders should be Pent in at once. Business generally is fairly brUk. AH produce forward moves off readily, bacon pigs especially being wanted. Rabbitbkins coming to hand freely, and prices should be satisfactory to sellers. We have received several lots of last winter's skins
lately, which, being weevily, are much depreciated in value. We would advise our friends never to hold over their skins. Prices of local fruit are stationary— as much owing to careless packing as to Hobart imports. Furniture, pianos, and organs have good inquiry, and our sales for the week have been very satisfactory. Mr Hely's sale at our rooms was well attended, and considering tho times, excellent prices were realised. The pictures in our fine art gallery continue to attract much attention, and several sales have been effected during the last few days. At our sale of purebred poultry on Monday last, every lot was cleared out at fair prices. We sell poultry and general produce on Friday at 11 ; fruit trees, shrubs, &c. on Saturday at 2 ; and a quantity of superior furniture in the early part of next week.
