Moritzson and Hopkin, millers, grain,produce, and commission agents, Manse street, Dunedin, report (wholesale) for the week ending March 23 as follows : —

Wheat : New wheat is offering plentiful from the north, but no southern lots have come forward. We quote prime samples 4s to 4s 3d, Dunedin terms; and medium, 3s 8d to 3s lOd. Fowls' wheat : Good whole, 3s to 3s 3d : broken and inferior, Is lOd to 2s 9d. Barley : Malting, 3s ; milling, 2s 3d to 2s 8d ; feed, Is lOd to 2s 3d. Oats : Milling, Is 6d to Is 6id ; bright short feed, Is 6d ; inferior and off colour, Is to Is 4d. New grain will arrive to a bare market. Bran, 60s Sharps, 80s. Roller flour, Ll2 ; stone flour, Lll. Potatoes : Kidneys, 40s : Derwents, 50s to 555. Market is barely supplied, and L 3 has been got end of last week. Pigs : In good demand, 3Jd to 3id for prime quality. Chaff : Prime well-cut oaten sheaf, 60s to 62s 6d ; medium quality, 52s 6d to 57s 6d. Straw, oaten and wheaten, 30s. Clover and ryegrass hay, 60s. Butter : Salt, 8d to Biy-dat the latter price we sold several parcels— in demand; good keg butter wanted. Eggs scarcer and rising. Honey, 4Jd for extracted. Cheese : Akaroa — large, 3id to 4d ; small, 4id ; factory makes — large, 4Jd to 4id ; loaf sizes, sd. Hams and bacon ; Hams, 8d ; rolls sid to 6d, sides sid. Grass seeds : Ryegrass— farmers' lots, 2s to 2s 6d ; machine dressed, 3s to 3s 6d ; cocksfoot, 3id to 4d ; Italian ryegrass, 3s 9d to 4s 6d. Kainit, or German potash salt, L 5. Pamphlets on application. Superphosphates, L 6 ss. We can supply good second-hand butter casks and cases at 3s each. Good second-hand grain and flour bags fit to hold grain. Binder twine, 5d per lb. Cocoanuts, 6s per sack ; dessicated cocoanut, 7d to 8d per lb. We are also sole agents for Hellaby's meats, Ewen's Neptune mullet, and the Atlas tobacco and cigarettes. Rye corn, for which we have account sales from our house in Hamburg, we are prepared to ship and make advance.
