CANTERBURY RAM FAIR.
Christchurch, March 18. The Canterbury ram fair was held at the Addington show grounds to-day. Heavy northeast rain fell all day. There were 2000 entries, and nearly all were quitted at satisfactory prices. The highest prices were got for Border and English Leicesters, up to 31gs for. Border and 39gs for English having been obtained. There was a small entry of Downs, for which there was keen competition. Merinos were few, and not much sought after.
