The imports for the qu*rfer ended September 30 were valued at £1,944,019, against £1,753,799 for the corresponding quarter of 1890. At Auckland fha v\\ne was £s^o 391 ; Wellington. £432,059; Lyttelton, £290,225; Dunedin, £465.961. The exports f«>r the quarter *ere £1,667,580, against £1,528 514 for thft s»m« quarter last year AucfcUDd exported £268,744 ; |WeUiogtou, £209,677; Lytteltor, £355.242; Dunedin, £238,204 The items of export are:— Mines, £218,602; fwberiep, £7014; forest, £12,4,298; ,animals and pro-luce, £650,761; agricultural products, £392,159; raniJufschareF. £88,705; spec'e, £79,000; miscellaneous, £39,075. During the quarter 180 vessels, of the aggregate tonnnge of 144,952 tons, entered inwards in New Zealand; while 174 vessels, with 142,713 entered outwards:
