A friendly match between thP3e two recently formed clubs, with nine players aside, took place the other evening at Papakaio, and resulted in a tie, the scores being 17 games each, with two draws. The room was crowded with visitors, to whom refreshments were supplied, and the gathering proved a great success. Wyndecam v. Matauka. An interesting match took plnce recently at Mataura between the members of the above clubs, with 20 players a side. The contest proved a very close one, and was watched by a Itirgo number o: bp'-cta-tors, who displayed a lively interest in the proceedings. Wyndhain thus 'won bvjj two games. Last ymfa raa'ch was won by Mutant* by three games. The visiton were entertained at supper before returning home.
