Tuesday, August 17.

The Council met at 10 a.m., and after agreeing to the amendments by the Governor in the Rabbit Act, adjourned till 2 for the receipt of the Appropriation Bill. THE SPECIAL POWERS AND CONTRACTS BILL. A message was received from the House intimating that that Chamber had agreed with the amendments made by the Council in the Special Powers and Contracts Bill. THE APPROPRIATION BILLS. The Public Works Appropriation Bill was received from the House and passed through all stages. The Council adjourned during its pleasure, and on resuming at 11, the Appropriation Bill was received from the House and passed through all stages.
