tKEOTEn's Telegrams, 1 London, June 8. At to-day's auction 11,700 bales wero offered for sale. There was a steady but not active demand.
June 9. Tenders for the South Australian loan of £1,500,000 at 4 per cent, wero opened to-day, when the amount applied for was found to bo £3,750,000. Tenders at £100 63 will receive 31 per cent, of the amount applied for ; above that in full. It is reported that the town of Kassala has fallen into the hands of the Mabdites, The Redistribution of Seats Bill has been passed by tha House of Lords. In consequence of the Sultan of Zanzibar's action in opposing tha Protectorato recently established by Germany over the territory to tho northward of Zanzibar, it ia expected that the town will be bombarded by German war vessels at present in tha neighbourhood. The olaima put forward by Germany to the town of St. Lucia on the sea coast of Northern Zululand, and which was recently annexed by Great Britain, have boon withdrawn.
Constantinople, Jnur 0 Intelligence from Crete states that all the Christian officials on the island havo resigned their positions owing to tha appointment of Savas Pasha as Governor.
