COURSING.

The Auckland coursing meeting was finished on Friday. Mr Buckland takes the first prize of £30 ; iVJr Hugan second, of £20; and several piizes of loss value will also be distributed.

Tho Southland Clnb's Meeting at Brooksdale.

A meeting of the Southland Coursing Club was held at M'JKellar's Brooksdale Estate, Tapanui, on Thursday, 24th. There was a large attendance, and some grand sport was witnessed. Hares were scarce in the morning, but more plentiful afterwards. Five pounds were taken at the gates. From the results of the meeting it will be Been that both the Puppy and All-aged Stakes were carried off by Invercargill dogs : — PUPPY STAKES.
