CRICKET. THE AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS IN ENGLAND.

London, July 31st.
The Australians commenced a match to-day at Liverpool against the Liverpool Club. The wicket was heavy owing to recent rains. The visitors went in first, and their innings closed for a' total of 240. The highest scorers wereGiffen (caught) 81, and Palmer (not out) 33. The attendance was very large.
August Ist, The cricket match between the Australian team and the Liverpool Club, which was to have been resumed to-day, has been postponed in consequence of heavy rain.
The following are the full scores in the latest matches of which details are given in the Australian papers : — AUSTRALIANS v. YORKSHIRE, Jult 17th, 18th, 19th.

The Australians won by 47 runs. In their first innings Enimett took five wickets for six six runs, and in their Becond innings > six wickets for 22 runs. In Yorkshire's first innings Boyle took two wickets for four runs, Palmer two for 12 runs. In their second innings Boyle took six wickets for 39 runs, Spofforth three for 21.
